There are hundreds of registered office providers in the UK. Most are fine. Some are PO Box redirects disguised as real addresses. A few are excellent. Here is how to tell the difference.
What to Look For
- Real premises: Visit the address on Google Street View. Is it a real building with a real entrance?
- Established history: How many years has the address been in commercial use? Newer addresses have less credibility.
- Mail handling speed: Same-day scan? Weekly forwarding? Or do they just hold it until you ask?
- Contract terms: Monthly rolling or 12-month lock-in?
- Bank acceptance: Will major UK banks accept it? Check our guide.
- Hidden fees: Per-item mail charges? Annual renewal fees? Setup costs?
- Meeting rooms: Can you meet clients at the address?
