Every UK limited company must file a confirmation statement at Companies House at least once every 12 months. It confirms that your company details are up to date. It is not the same as your annual accounts.
What It Contains
- Registered office address
- Directors and their details
- Shareholders and share capital
- People with significant control
- SIC codes (industry classification)
- Statement of capital
How to File
Log in to Companies House WebFiling. Review each section. Confirm or update. Pay £34 (online) or £62 (paper). Takes 10-15 minutes.
What Happens If You Miss It
There is no automatic fine. But if Companies House does not receive your confirmation statement, they may begin proceedings to strike your company off the register. See what happens when you fall out of compliance.
